The beauty of this itinerary are the very different scenarios: the airy plateau of Lavazè, the fir and pine forest and then the wide ridge after the edge of the wood. You reach the cross on the top of the mountain passing through volcanic rocks and steep pastures where you will occasionally find a flock of sheep. After the descent on the ski slopes to Passo Pampeago, we return to the forest road and path marked by the Vaia storm (October 2018).

Author’s recommendation

Fill your eyes with the immensity of the panorama that can be enjoyed from the top: the Lagorai chain, the Latemar and part of the Catinaccio, the Ortles Cevedale group and the Brenta Dolomites. By focusing on the closest details, you will discover the villages near the shrine of Pietralba.

Für die Kletterpartie kurz vor dem Gipfelkreuz sollte man schwindelfrei und bergfest sein. Ansonsten schöne und abwechslungsreiche Tour
