Old military paths lead to the summit of Monte Cauriol - once a bitterly contested theatre during the Alpine War.
On well-marked paths we hike from Val Sadole to the summit of Monte Cauriol. Especially around the summit we find many relics from the mountain war that was fought here from 1915 to 1918 on the border between Austria-Hungary and Italy.
