A simple circular walk to observe Cavalese from 3 panoramic points. The Torretta della Lucianella, which used to be the meeting point for young people, the Pagoda, a complex wooden building, which represents the best-known observation point on the town, and the small hill called Coronelle, where the drinking water tank that serves the whole town lies.

Author’s recommendation

There are many benches along the way and about halfway you will find bench / table groups for a break. Also take advantage of the fountain with fresh drinking water.

Turn-by-turn directions

Coming from Cavalese, the starting point of the route is in the pitch to the left of the main road, at the entrance to the Tesero tunnel. The first 100 meters of the path run along the road and then lead to a grove of hazelnuts. The well-marked route leads to the first point of interest: the "Torretta" (tower) della Lucianella. After admiring the view, go down the stairs and continue along the flat road dedicated to "Arturo Deleonardi". The story of this notary from Cavalese is set in the rock located before the climbing crag. At the end of this path, you reach a cobblestone road from which a staircase leads to the highest point of the walk, the Pagoda. Ignore the "Passeggiata degli Alpini" and "Strada del Fen" signs and proceed north, crossing a wooden bridge and a lovely wood of Scots pine until you reach the Via Valle.

Still following the signs, you face the last climb of the walk, reaching the Coronelle, where a romantic bench invites you to take a break. The descent towards the town of Cavalese along the well-marked path leads to via Matteotti. The end of the walk is in the central Piazza Dante, in front of the Church of San Vigilio.
