Die Berghütte diente einst als Kommandozentrale während des ersten Weltkrieges. Heute ist sie komplett renoviert und eine beliebte Einkehrmöglichkeit unter Wanderern und Skifahrern. Von der Hütte führen viele Wanderwege auf die umliegenden Gipfel.
